What started as a niche lifestyle on the township streets of south Africa is now a global movement, as the sounds of Amapiano infiltrates the uk night club scene.

The rise of Africa’s electronic dance music with its infectious multi genre influences from deep, soulful, tribal house and localised african sounds, makes this sound so unique and unforgettable – this is what birthed Amapiano, Afrohouse, Gqom, Kwaito, being heard across the clubs of the underground of today and the roots of the khayafrika vision.

Mpho Sibanda & Swelumuzi Mpofu , founded  Khayafrika  and their vision lies at the intersection of Music , Culture & Technology.  Their combined passion and love for African Music sparked and birthed a mission to create an African Music Discovery platform for a Global Audience.  African Artists continue to influence and inspire many sounds and trends globally.  We believe that showcasing these amazing music genres and Artists , is also a celebration of African Languages, Culture & Heritage and also allows us to document this rich cultural heritage.
